I help people have a better relationship with their dogs.
I am a behavior consultant, using positive reinforcement to treat dogs.
My story begins in 2021 when I adopted Manolo from a pound in Romania. He is a Pitbull and I fell in love with him the minute I saw him. I immediately rescued him from his doggie prison but I was wildly under prepared for what came next.
Although having previously owned dogs, my experience had always been easy-going. Therefore, I assumed the same for Manolo and I.
Unfortunately, he came with a lot of baggage. At the time, I didnÕt even know dogs could experience issues, such as; anxiety, panic attacks and reactivity.
So I did what I thought everyone else would do in this situation. I found help, locally, with the best trainer I could find. This was new to me and I wasnÕt familiar with the different methods of coaching or handling nor did I know this particular trainer used aversive and punitive methods.

When I arrived, the session began with a demonstration using a slip-collar which not only went horribly wrong – I was horribly shocked too.
Manolo cried and struggled to breath. As he was being hanged in the air, his paws struggled to find the floor. I jumped in immediately, took Manolo and we left.
I could not accept that this was the only way to train a dog. Especially not one with intricate behavior issues.
This is when I discovered fear-free training and positive reinforcement methods.
I am qualified from the United Kingdom with IMDT and obtained a Level 3 certification for learning, motivation and reinforcement. Accredited by OCN. I have furthered my knowledge and am certified in Breed and Predatory Motor Patterns and Learning Theory.
I strive to be a wealth of knowledge for my clients and I achieve this by consistently expanding my understanding in the world animal behavior therapy.
At Dogethica, my team and I will teach you how to have a better relationship with your furry companions by simply better understanding their needs and growing a stronger bond together.
Together we can change the world.
